Hello,
I have installed Mnemosyne 2.4.1 from source.
On Debian stretch mnemosyne stopped working.
error is QOpenGLShaderProgram: could not create shader program and black screen.
I tried starting it with the command line option as recommended  --qt-opengl=desktop, without success.
I have tried the Debian build in version also with similar results.

Hi,

Have you also tried with other options, like 'angle' or 'software', or omitting the –qt-opengl argument completely?

Also this looks related:

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks for your response
'angle' and 'software' give the same result.
I have python3-opengl, and python-opengl installed.

Well this does not appear to be a problem with mnemosyne, but
my configuration, as it shows up with pyqt5-examples.
I'll have to keep digging. Thanks

To further answer my problem.
As you suggested I added
"from OpenGL import GL"
to the mnemosyne script, and now it works

Thanks, I will add this to the release along with a warning if the import fails.

Peter
