Hi!
I run a Linux computer at home. I'd like to install a Windows version of Mnemosyne on a USB stick for when I'm not at home. But I don't have the C:\Program Files etc. programs on my Linux computer.
How can I do this?
Thanks...

You could try using an emulator like Wine, but I'm not sure if
Mnemosyne works under Wine.

Otherwise, you'll have to find a Windows machine first...

Strange that there's only an installer for Windows on the sourceforge page; a .zip containing the files would be handy as well.

Some archivers can extract certain types of Windows installation programs, or as Peter said, you could use Wine and then copy the files (usually somewhere like "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Mnemosyne...") to your USB key.

I did a quick search and found this though, which may save you the effort: http://portableapps.com/apps/education/mnemosyne_portable

One way you could do this:

Install Mnemosyne Portable, as Oisín suggested, then save your .mem file to the USB drive as well. Then, just install Mnemosyne for Linux on your home computer, and point it at the same .mem file on your USB drive.

This way, you can use Mnemosyne at home and on the go.
