On some machines, there is a bug where the tag tree and card type tree
is hidden after restart. To make them visible again, just make the
window larger, and/or drag the invisible divider under the saved set box
upwards to reveal the tag tree below.

Hope this helps,

Peter

Greetings Peter,

Thank for your speedy reply.

Unfortunately making the window larger was to no avail. All that is observed is a larger version of the posted screen capture above.
As for the "invisible divider"; there is  no "saved set box" to be found, nor could I find an "divider" (no change in cursor). As noted there is the dialogue label "saved sets:", however there are no other elements to be found.

Still stuck.

PS
As per my earlier post "Re: [mnemosyne-proj-users] MnemoSyne 2.1 crash on start-up (Uncaught exception)[17 October 2012 19:08:36 UTC-4 ]" .  I'm going to follow your suggestion to uninstall/reinstall Mnemosyne and reinstall. Maybe this will resolve two birds with one stone.

Thanks again. If you have any other idea I'd be glad to hear them. I post results of reinstalled.

Cheers
MrJay

Greetings folks,

Three days I upgraded to Ver 2.1 from 1.2.2. After trying a test deck I converted another to this new file format, however as its own database.

Earlier to day I launched Mnemosyne 2.1. I notice that only a small portion of my deck was activated and attempted to activate more cards.
In this data base there are 815 cards, currently defined into four (4) card-sets, further sub-divided in 26 tagged groups. Only one group is currently activated (64 cards). Using the "Browse" menu command (Ctrl+B)  I can turn on/off any / all tagged groups for editing (only), however only 64 are listed as "activated"
Using the (De)activate menu command (Ctrl+D) I get a dialogue box that lists the card-sets only. (See attachment below). There are no options to select / deselect the card-set items listed. All the clicking / double clicking / context menu (rename / delete options only) are to no avail.
There is nothing else I can do. To salvage my college year I'll have to go back to V1.2.2 unless a solution resolves this soon.

As always, thanks in advance to all for your support.

Thanks
MrJay

Hi,

I took a screenshot and drew a thick black line on it where you should
look for the divider.

If you still have issues, try delete the file 'config' from the same
directory which contains 'default.db', typically
C:\users\MrJay\Application Data\Mnemosyne\config

This is a Qt bug, I will try to work around it in the next release.

Cheers,

Peter
