I've a list of words in Nepali and then answer in English in word
format. When I save to txt file using Unicode (UTF-8), I lose the
devanagiri script - can anyone help or give advise on how to resolve
this.

If you open that txt file with an editor that does not support utf8, the file will look like gibberish, but Mnemosyne should be able to import it just fine.
