I am trying to set up the syncing function for Mnemosyne between my laptop and my iphone, but I do not understand the directions.

Here's what I read from the instructions:

"To enable syncing, pick one machine as your server (e.g. your desktop computer).

On that machine, go to 'Settings - Configure Mnemosyne' and in the 'Sync server'

tab, activate the sync server and pick a usearname and a password that the client

should provide. After clicking 'OK', Mnemosyne will tell you on which IP address the

server is running, e.g. 192.168.2.33 ."

Where is "settings - configure Mnemosyne' and 'Sync Server'? Are they on the laptop systems preferences? If so, where exactly? or are they in the app as installed on my desktop. If so, where?

Thank you.

Hi,

These are the menu settings of the Mnemosyne program on your laptop.

However, there is no native Mnemosyne client for iphone, so you'll have to review through your browser.

So, rather than activating the sync server, activate the review server, and you'll get an Internet address you can connect to using your phone's browser. Mnemosyne does need to be running on your laptop for this, though.

Cheers,

Peter
