updating linked files changes

I understood that I can change the media file (sound or image) directly in directory that stores it (default.db_media)
When I change something I have to close and reopen Mnemosyne to have the files updated in the card. Even if I close the card and I go in the browse card menu and open it from there I see the card without changes ... Is it correct ore tere is a way to have the card updated with the changes mad in the linked files?

p.s. The android app work great! :-)

I didn't realise this was happening, but I assume the GUI toolkit we're using is doing some internal caching and does not realise the file has changed.

I am afraid there's no easy way for me to influence this...
