Hi,
can anyone tell me what the rules for using the downloadable
flashcards are? Is a license provided for them?
Is it legal to use the cards in a commercial context, e.g. a language
school or another paid-for learning environment?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
I think the best you can do is trying to contact the authors of the
flashcards in question.

The way I understand it, flashcards based on some other copyrighted material (e.g. a textbook), can be considered "notes." And sharing notes as far as I understand is considered fair use.
As far as selling them or using them in a commercial context? That's an interesting question. I would think it wouldn't be a problem given how much lecture material is derived straight from textbooks at Universities. I don't think anyone will fault you for it.
