Hello,

I am trying to import a .cards file which I created for back-up purposes (now I've read a bit and know I shouldn't have).
After 9% of importing completed, I see the following message:

" An unexpected error has occurred.
Please forward the following info to the developers:

Traceback (innermost last):
File "mnemosyne\pyqt_ui\import_dlg.pyo", line 78, in accept
File "mnemosyne\libmnemosyne\file_formats\mnemosyne2_cards.pyo", line
208, in do_import
File "openSMZsync\text_formats\xml_format.pyo", line 124, in parse_log_entries
File "<string>", line 91, in next
ParseError: not well-formed (invalid token): line 9557, column 28 "

The .cards file is on my pendrive; the laptop I was using Mnemosyne on is no longer in my posession.

There was a couple of months of preperation for a medical exam on it so I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you,
Maciej

Hi,

Make sure to download the latest version of Mnemosyne first.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi,

Thanks for your answer and for developing this effective tool.
I've just downloaded the latest version and got the same result (an error after 9% of importing).

Is there still hope?

Thanks,
Maciej

Hi,

Feel free to mail me the cards file privately so that I can have a look at it.

Cheers,

Peter

PS: as you probably know by now, the cards file does not store your own learning data and is for sharing cards with other people.

Hi,

I've mailed you a fixed file.

(Exporting this data in the latest version should result in a file which imports without problems, but since you no longer have that data I fixed it manually)

Cheers,

Peter
