Good evening.

I'm having a problem with a few hundred cards staying in category "untagged" as a subcategory when they are tagged (as well as subtagged to the same level of the hierarchy).  Not a terrible problem, but makes the database look a little dirty while I'm trying to manage it.  I did find a solution for a similar issue that says the "compact database" command should fix it, but it won't.  All the other tags in the explorer let me right click and give me the option to "remove tag", but the "untagged" bunch don't let me right-click on them to remove it, like the others do.  Any ideas?

   Thanks, Chris Shanks.

Hi,

That's by design: just a way to group the cards which the user hasn't given a tag yet.

Yes, I understand.  What I'm trying to say is they are all tagged with tags I have created and yet are showing up in both their appropriate tag sections as well as the untagged section.

See in the image, for example, you can see the "Calculus - TTC 2 Questions" has 279 cards.  All have subtags, numerically in sets from 02 to 29.  This includes them all.  Yet they 121 still remain also in the "untagged" category.  The cards I tagged on their creation with subtags (from 14 - 29) did not go into "untagged."  The 121 other cards I had created without tags.  So I created them to match the organization system.  But when I created subcategories 02-13, "untagged" remained even though all cards had been given a tag in my scheme.

Feel free to mail me your database privately, so that I can have a look.

Cheers,

Peter

Ah I'm not really concerned and it isn't important enough to take up your time. I just thought there might be a simple known solution like the "compact database" button. I'll let you know if it becomes an actual problem, but I don't forsee how it could!

Thanks again for your time and consideration, Chris Shanks.
