  • MNCCS/NCCAE/Northville Schools co-sponsored Math Competition Update

MNCCS, Hillside and Meads Mills hosted Canadian Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC) on 11/17, total 9 students participated in this contest. Andrew Hong won the awards "Honour Roll - International" and "Honour Roll -International Grade 7". Also, Eric Jin, Daniel Liu, and Enrica Lu are awarded "Performance with Distinction" (top quartile of all competitors). 

Congratulations to all four students!

 

  • Chinese New Year Party on 2/5/2023

The Chinese New Year Party is scheduled to be held on 2/5/2023. More details will be available in the upcoming weeks. Please mark your calendar for the special celebration! 

 

  • Follow Traffic and Safety Rules on Campus

1.   No Speeding (Speed limit on campus is 15 mph).

2.   Full stop at stop sign.

3.   Yield to pedestrians everywhere on campus.

4.   No Parked vehicle at fire lane unattended.

5.   No drop off in front of the LA building. Please park in the parking lot. 

6.   Please don't walk on grass.

7.   Please don’t touch safety facilities such as fire alarm boxes.

8.   Please don’t vandalize vending machines.

 

  •  COVID Policy

Michigan New Century Chinese School follows the guidance of the CDC, the Federal Department of Education, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Oakland County Department of Health, as well as the local school district’s safety and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the health and safety of our community.

Students, Parents, and Teachers, please follow below regulations:

1. If students, teachers and parents are sick or begin to have symptoms of sickness, including fever, cough, wheezing, difficulty of breathing, loss of taste and smell, chills, body aches, headache, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, etc., please do not come to school.

2. If you have been in close contact with a new COVID positive patient within 10 days, if you have no symptoms, you can still come to school while wearing a mask. If symptoms occur, please refer to item 1.

3. If you test positive but are asymptomatic, do not come to school for five days from the time you test positive. Within ten days after five days, if you have no symptoms, you can go to school while wearing a mask. After 10 days, you can go to school normally.

4. If the test is positive and accompanied by symptoms, it will be counted from the beginning of the symptoms, and after five days of isolation, if the symptoms disappear, you can wear a mask to school. After ten days, if there are no symptoms, then you can go to school. If symptoms persist, please refer to item 1.

5. If you test positive after leaving school, please inform the school in time. The school will notify the exposed classes, reminding impacted parents to pay attention to other student's condition.

6. If there is no close contact or due to positive isolation, students, teachers and parents can choose whether to wear masks according to their wishes.

 

密西根新世纪中文学校遵循CDC、联邦教育部、美国儿科学会及奥克兰郡卫生部的指导,以及local school district 安全和风险缓解策略,确保我们社区的健康和安全,做出如下规定,请同学,家长,老师们遵守:

1. 如果学生、老师和家长生病或开始有生病的症状,症状包括发烧,咳嗽,气喘,呼吸困难,失去味觉嗅觉,发冷,身体酸痛,头疼,喉咙疼,腹泻,恶心等症状,请不要来学校。

2. 如果10日内曾近距离接触新冠阳性患者,如没有症状,在佩戴口罩的情况下可以到学校。如出现症状,请见第一条。

3. 如果测试阳性但无症状,从测试阳性开始计算,五天内不要到学校。五日后十日内,如没有症状,可以在佩戴口罩的情况下到学校。10日后,可以正常到校。

4. 如果测试阳性并伴有症状,从有症状开始计算,隔离五天后,如果症状消失,可以佩戴口罩到学校。十日后没有症状,可以正常到校。如还有症状,请参阅第一条。

5. 离校后如果发现有Covid阳性发生, 请及时通报学校。学校会通知相应暴露班级, 提醒家长注意学生状况。

6. 如没有密接或因为阳性隔离的情况,同学,老师和家长可以根据自己的意愿选择是否佩戴口罩。

 

  • Lost & Found             

If your child is missing anything at School, please stop by the front desk and check with the student assistants for Lost & Found when school is in session.
