Good afternoon all (or at least it is in China when I’m sending this),

I wanted to provide an update on MNACS sponsorship of the BCCE, which you may have seen mentioned in a recent email to our local section. A few weeks ago, the 2026 Biennial Conference on Chemical Education (BCCE) reached out to Sarah and Janie regarding sponsorship of the event, since it will be held in Madison, Wisconsin. This request came shortly after our Executive Committee meeting.

The initial ask was for a general event sponsorship. However, with the goal of using MNACS funds to directly support members of our local section, we decided to move forward with an individual sponsorship rather than contributing to the general conference fund. My thought is to fund this through the Small Grants program so that we do not need to add an unplanned line item to the budget.
