Despite our best efforts, some new IP blocks are put into service before
they are in DNS, and sometimes they just get overlooked. If you take
note of what your IP address is when this happens, and inform qwest
tech support that that block isn't in DNS, it will be corrected.

*sigh* This is not a select vs deluxe problem or a 675 vs 2100 problem -
it is simply that itlabs at the U and other places require a valid reverse
lookup, and the IP address(es) you have been allocated are unfortunately
not set up right in DNS. That's all.

Exactly right - it happens every now and again at any provider.
Holy Cow! Are you a real, live, clueful Qwest employee? I've been
reading this newsgroup for quite a while, and haven't seen such a thing
happen ever before. At any rate, welcome to this newsgroup (not that
I am the official welcoming committee or anything, by any means!).

Real - check. Live - undead, actually. Clueful - well, on a few things.

Hi. :) I usually am down the hall at qwest.general and qwest.dsl, but
I'll try to keep an eye on things here too, since those groups are
internal to qwest.net.

The reason I was interested in Deluxe service was because one of the
support team thought that deluxe customers get assigned to a different
ip pool, thus those ips might not be bad...
Found that I connect through:
63.228.52.*
63.228.53.*
63.228.54.*
63.228.55.*
All are misconfigured :-(
