REQUIREMENTS:
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 15 years progressively
responsible experience in a manufacturing environment in all phases of
financial/accounting and MIS operations. In addition to a strong financial
background, the candidate will have demonstrated experience working with complex
accounting issues; mergers & acquisitions; joint ventures & international
operations; as well as a familiarity with IPO strategies.
The candidate must have an undergraduate degree and/or MBA in Accounting or
Finance with a CPA or CMA highly desirable.
Education/training and experience in modern TQM, QFD, and process improvement
methodology.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP of Finance’s broad range of responsibilities will include providing
effective leadership and management through planning, developing, organizing,
and directing all financial activities, including financial planning &
reporting, accounting operations, audit, budgeting, tax, and treasury functions.
Additionally, this individual will direct and integrate the MIS function, as
well as, other business operations. The VP of Finance will report to the
President and will have direct responsibility for leading the finance team,
accounting team and MIS team which includes approximately 20 staff members.
Direct reports include the Manager of Operations Accounting; the Manager of
Financial Accounting & Planning; and the Senior Manager of MIS. This individual
will also have frequent interaction with the parent company, the 50-50 joint
venture in Japan and the sales and service operation in Germany.
