Job Title: Staff Accountant / Bookkepper Product: Agriculture Salary Range: $28k to $45k % of travel: 45% Location: Chaska, MN
Description: This position will be responsible for the majority of all accounting functions of a mid-size leasing company that does approximately $15 million in revenue per year. Such functions include basic bookkeeping responsibilities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and payroll tax reporting, filing and reporting various other duties. This position has a huge potential to grow with the company and take on a nearly unlimited amount of responsibility.
Requirements: We are looking for someone who possesses the following skills: Basic bookkeeping skills. Preferably a one or two year accounting degree. 1 - 5 years of accounting related experience or education or a combination of both. Payroll and payroll tax reporting knowledge. Knowledge in a computerized accounting system, preferably Quickbooks. Knowledge in Word and Excel. Good writing and communication skills. Positive attitude and personality. Job Title: Director of Cattle Procurement Product: Agriculture Salary Range: $55k to $80k % of travel: 45%
Location: Midwest-based from home Description: Assure that quality dairy cattle are located, agreed upon by all parties, purchased at fair market value, and delivered to client in a timely manner. Verify that all appropriate lease documents are properly completed and returned to Corporate office. Initiate and/or maintain relationships with desired sources for quality dairy cattle. Keep current on market value of dairy cattle. Coordinate all aspects of transporting cattle to lessee. Verify that all cattle have proper company identifcation properly placed and and the corresponding information is relayed to croporate offices in a timely manner. Negitiate, process and communicate all cow replacement and/or transfers. Maintain accurate records of cattle placements(transfer and orginal) and leasing activities. Manage and direct other cattle procurement personnel.
Requirements: Must have: Eperience in the Agricultural industry with a focus on dairy. Knowledge of characteristics of quality dairy cattle. Attention to detail. Strong verbal communication necessary. Ability to work independently yet be part of a team is crucial. Ability to react quickly and be flexible. Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word & Excel). Ability to travel the Midwest.
