Job Description:
US-MN-St.Paul-Technical Specialist-DiaSorin
Knowledge and understanding of immunology, immunoassay, and performance of
clinical immunoassays. Knowledge of and skill in applying basic math such
as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and ratios.
Understanding of good laboratory practices and techniques. Ability to
assist in the design of experimental protocols and interpretation of
results. Ability to maintain effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to assist in the writing of documents and present technical
information in formal settings. Ability to work effectively in a team
environment. Key Responsibilities and Activities: Participate on a product
development team to insure timely development and launch of immunoassay
test methods. Perform experiments as per plan, accurately record
experimental data, and assist in the interpretation of results. Work with
Order Fulfillment Team members (i.e. Manufacturing) to insure the effective
transfer of required reagents and kit components. Assist in the preparation
of all documentation, validation and stability studies necessary to satisfy
FDA and DiaSorin requirements. Works With: Product Development, Order
Fulfillment, Quality Assurance, Document Systems

US-MN-St.Paul-Technical Specialist-DiaSorin
Knowledge and understanding of immunology, immunoassay technology,
immunoassay reagents and assay development.Some knowledge of key components
of immunoassay methods such as antibodies and antigens, controls and
calibrators, and the binding of bio-molecules to solid phases (e.g.
microtiter plates, beads, tubes, micro-particles). Knowledge of analytical
techniques used for raw material characterization such as gel
electrophoresis, HPLC, binding assays, and general chromatographic methods.
Familiarity with reagent and assay optimization methods (experimental
design) and transfer process (development to manufacturing). Knowledge of
good manufacturing practices (cGMPs). Understanding of good laboratory
practices and techniques. Ability to maintain effective written and verbal
communication. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key
Responsibilities and Activities: Work within Order Fulfillment to maintain
continuous supply of qualified raw materials. Assist with identification
and certification of internal or external vendors for critical raw
materials. Assist in the evaluation of raw materials and in establishing
appropriate test methods for qualifying these reagents. Work with Product
Development teams to establish raw material requirements for reagents
necessary in assay development projects. Work with Product Development
teams to identify critical reagents that meet performance and stability
requirements. Assist in establishing documentation, validation and
stability studies necessary to satisfy FDA and DiaSorin requirements. Work
with Order Fulfillment (i.e. Manufacturing) to establish and maintain
efficient and reproducible methods for the qualification/preparation of
reagents and other kit components. Works With: Product Development, Order
Fulfillment, Quality Assurance, Document Systems
