We currently have challenging opportunities at our Minneapolis, Minnesota
USA location for highly motivated Staff Scientists in our Brady Pacing
Division.
In this key role, you will provide scientific leadership in identifying,
planning, conducting, and directing internal and external clinical
research in applied brady pacing systems research. You will also identify,
establish and nurture collaborative and/or consulting relationships with
key academic and industrial research groups in relevant areas. In
addition, you will provide technical support and advice to the business
unit and Corporation as new technologies are assessed. We will rely on you
to participate in outside professional societies, attend appropriate
scientific meetings, publish and present original research and represent
Medtronic to the outside scientific and technical community.
Qualifications Include:
Graduate technical degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in the biosciences or related
field (engineering). A minimum of 5 years experience conducting
independent research, with a preferred minimum of 2 years of industrial
based research. A strong publication record and experience in providing
technical direction to others. Strong written and oral communication
skills and a basic understanding of pacing circuitry is also required.
