.. there was a lot of talent. The Timberland (Timbaland) extravaganza
and the solo ladies he had supporting him...was musically refreshing.
A real mini musical.....I loved that girl taking on the long
gown....tatoos down her arm. Awesome! Of course it did not hurt to
be a drop dead gorgeous brunette...that could sing and dance.

Arts in the eye of the beholder. But I am moved to say:
"Timberland.... that musical format ........and you and the ladies
were awesome. Congratulations to you and your organization!"

Rock on.

All right... it was Nelly Furtado... and you all knew it all the
time. Soshy made a good showing too!

Go Nelly ...GO!!!

I don't consider choreographed lip-synching "art". Sorry.

The awards were not for lipsynced performances, they were for recorded
music.

Many of the music award show "performances" are nothing more

"art".

And any award show that acknowledges Taylor Swift as "artist of
the year" is a joke, IMO.

WELL, GOLLY, GEE...how flexible are you? I have Mozart Piano
Concerto 21 K467- Andante at the top of my list (piano only
please..hard to find track off one of the many K467 Deutsch
Grammaphone discs..I CAN'T FIND MINE!) but I still enjoyed Timbaland
with Furtado and Soshy.

There is a phrase in the world of music..."...(always then, never
now)...".

And all performances are not equal....as I mentioned sometime ago Emmy
Lou Harris doing The Maker on the Spyboy Live disc.... is another
awesome work of art. KAXE plays it on a rare occasion. Sadly, the
original production-recording of Mark Knopfler with Dire Straits
doing .. Telegraph Road.... is far ahead of anything else he has done
or is doing. I never understood the clammer over Money for Nothing
and Romeo and Juliet.

Art is in the eye of the beholder.

Good art...it's all over the place...be kinder and gentler Scott.

You are right... the politics is disgusting.....just like the
Oscar's......but you have to give the kid credit...she has written
100's.. of pretty good songs.............

Has Alanis Morissette done anything remarkable lately? I have to go
look.............

I have yet to hear a single "good" Taylor Swift song. The ones
I have heard are all bubblegum country-pop pieces of crap
sung by a teenager with a mediocre (at best) voice.

I prefer the original version of 'The Maker' by Daniel Lanois. 'Acadie'
was a great album back in the day.

well I got the ladies backwards.... SoShy's style struck me more
than Nelly ......

Deborah Epstein.....has the worst PR web manager in the music
industry. Even Wiki has almost nothing on her.

There is an opportunity for somebody.....

and I prefer Nick Cave & the Bad Seed's version of "Wanted Man" over
Dylan's. Depends on the mood I'm in..

LOL. Understood. I can see that. I'm a big Nick Cave fan, and I like
Dylan, too. So mood would dictate that one for sure.
