MN-GRIN Meeting Invitation - September 2, 2026

Welcome back for our 2026-2027 Programming Year.
MN-GRIN will not be meeting in September, we are planning our first meeting for October 7, 2026. Look for more information to follow.
In lieu of a September meeting, we wanted to let you know about another meeting that you might be interested in. TC-ARMA, which is the Twin Cities Chapter of ARMA is holding their Fall Seminar (Navigating AI and Modern Governance Tools) on September 22, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Chaska Event Center. We need your help.
We are looking for ideas on topics to present and people to present them for our program year that starts now and runs through May 2027.
· Do you have an idea for a topic?
· Would you like to present a topic at a future meeting? We are looking for all kinds of topics in the IG world.
· Is there a project you are currently working on that you are excited to share? Do you know someone who can speak to a topic who would be happy to talk for free, (we don’t charge dues) that you’d like us to check into for an upcoming meeting?
· We have had vendors present on a topic in the past if they don’t spend more than a minute or two plugging “their” brand. Do you have suggestions on a vendor/topic?
Topic ideas that we are looking for feedback on your interest:
· AI (Artificial Intelligence). Do you know a good AI vendor or speaker?
· Field Trip to Minnesota Arts Museum
Would you like to join our Coordinating Committee? We are always looking for help in planning our programming each year and contacting speakers. If so, please let one of us know.

I recalled that in the 2025 ARMA Spring Mania sessions (it so happens I still have some info on file in my personal workpapers from that year) there was a speaker, Richard Hogg, from ARMA NOVA (Northern Virginia Chapter) https://armanova.org/board.php
It looks like he is Vice President of NOVA.
Attached is a slide deck of his presentation 16 April 2025.
I have no idea if Richard has a fee for his presentation, but it was about AI Governance for the ARMA Spring Mania event.
I never met Richard, and I don’t have the time to reach out to him to inquire if he would consider being a speaker at MNGRIN. I only attended the session for my own interest. Maybe someone can check further into his availability as a presenter to MNGRIN at no charge to us.

I reached out to someone who is an employee of Minnesota Information Technology (MNiT) who works at Minn. Dept. of Health, to see if the person has any interest in speaking/presenting at a MNGRIN meeting. I think the person is involved with AI (artificial intelligence) and I will provide an update to you after I hear back from the person, if I do hear back.
That’s about all I have to offer at this time.
