OK just a couple of things
FreeDV -found this vid which is pretty interesting and has some links to the github and other stuff. 

'SPRAD' could not find anything on that - glanced at Soldersmoke

Rare books - searching on Google was fruitless - please help

I have a TS100.   That is a bit older (has a separate power supply that uses a barrel adapter).   I think the TS101 uses usb-c.

The pinecil v2 and FNIRSI HS-02 are similar, just haven’t used them.
