Topic: Evidence-based Decision-making for Lean Product Development

Using Don Reinertsen’s Seven Big Ideas for 2nd Generation Lean Product Development, let’s have a conversation about using these concepts:

  1. Understand your economics
  2. Manage your queues
  3. Exploit variability
  4. Enable smaller batches
  5. Control WIP and start rates
  6. Prioritize based on economics
  7. Accelerate feedback
Is anyone using them today?
Which ones are hard to implement?
Which ones are easy to implement?

Kevin Burns will present and lead the discussion.

Kevin has led software product discovery and implementations for 20+ years. Kevin enjoys facilitating fast product learning cycles using collaborative charters, personas, story mapping, and iterative delivery. He also enjoys teaching lean and agile practice adoption at all levels of the organization.

Reminder - MNAEG next Tuesday - sign up on Doodle if planning to attend so we can get a count.

Please note - looks like a chance of some weather, so if things get inclimate check this site that afternoon for possible updates (were St. Thomas to close on short notice we would be obliged to cancel).
