Hi folks, am trying to connect an old (but superb sound quality) Altek- Lansing InAir AirPlay compatible speaker to my network.
The only way I can “see” it as an Air play option is if I connect it directly via ethernet cable to my router. It then performs either via Mac or iPhone.
As soon as I disconnect the Ethernet cable it remains as an AirPlay option but no sound is emitted!
I think I have to obtain the IP address it is using and then configure it but I cannot see it on the network.
Sorry this is a bit of a ramble but that’s how it appears.
Any help in very simple terms appreciated.
