Only problem with most of these is that they don't charge the iPhone, just act as speakers I don't know why.
I tried a row of them in Currys a few weeks back and out of 10 or so only 2 charged the iPhone, but all of them played the ipod bit!

I'm looking for an iPod dock which is also an alarm clock thing for my bedside table.
Would be nice if it charged iPhone, had a clock, ok ish speakers and maybe a snooze button.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

The iPhone already has the clock, alarm and snooze functions built
into its clock app, all you need is the dock. I like the simplicity of
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/aircurve at around £10 on
Amazon. I haven't tried it myself, but the reviews are very good, and
it's on my wish list
I currently stick it in a white dock and lay it down on it's side. I plug in
my travel speakers and it works OK but is a bit fiddly and needs two USB
chargers (one for the iPhone and one for the speakers). Also if I use the
dock speaker jack I can't adjust the volume! Great design Apple.

Currys in the Bullring has some Philips speaker docks with a swivelling dock. They seem quite nice, and reasonably portable.
