Hi,

For anyone interested in controlling video/ audio for theatre or other complex 'presentations' take a look at my review of QLab on MMUG or check it out at http://figure53.com/qlab/

It is really nice software that gives a lot of control & power, worth a look, especially since they licence by the day.

Is this a review of a new version?

It's the 2.2.5 version that is up on their site. Have you used it Patrick?

Our Head of Sound compared it with something that runs on a PC and prefers the PC software. I've asked him what it's called and I'm waiting to hear back from him. It might be Sound Forge. I'm interested in it because of what it can do with LC Edit.

LC edit what's that?
Sound Forge seems to be an audio editor as far as I can tell? Try out QLab, the demo lets you save for a limited period. I didn't get into the DMX or MIDI side, but it ran video & audio from a new 15" Macbook Pro very well.

The PC apps might be better, but I didn't want to deal with that notion :-)

http://www.lanbox.com/  I did offer to do a MMUG meeting about stage lighting with your Mac but I guess there was no interest.

So much to do and learn, so little time to do it.
