The other problem is that Home, doesn't work any more, all the appliances say 'Not responding".

I did a factory re-setof the Plusnet router, and the Apple Tv, 40 minutes of download  & install although It was set up to download updates automatically.

It is still telling me 'Something went wrong, Please try again later'!

All very frustrating.

I don't often use the Apple TV box, but recently It's refusing to accept my
BBC sign in.
(I was curious about Glasto, honest...)

I get directed to the 6 digit screen, and it will only come up with
"Something went wrong, please try again later'.

I've tried restart on the Apple box (tvOS 18.5), to no avail, but not back
to factory default, it's such a hassle re-doing the settings.

Any clues, anyone?

iPlayer on Apple TV is still a thing, I use it a lot!
Are you seeing the code on the screen like the attached?

You could remove the iPlayer App on Apple TV and reinstall it, that will
clear out most crud.

It could be your BBC account, worth going to https://account.bbc.com/ and
making sure your BBC username and password are working.

Good luck, Glasto was fun to watch

Further to my post about iPlayer, I can access it as usual on my iPad.

Curiouser and cuiouser....

I thought Apple removed iPlayer from Apple TV some years ago. Some spat over licensing.

It don't show up on my ancient HD appleTV

(Which I mostly use for airplay streaming)

Hi Alasdair, I use Apple TV having bought 3boxes over the years. It’s important to see what model you have. You can do this with a magnifying glass and looking at the base where you’ll find minuscule text and a model number Axxxx. Looking online you’ll be able to find if yours supports iPlayer etc.
I currently have the latest which works fine at 1080p resolution. I think there may be a 4k version since. If yours is old, all you can do is bin it and get a newer one. There are plenty on eBay. I hope this helps.

Just to add to the fun, Talking Pictures 'Encore' works fine, although it doesn't require a sign in.

And if I re-install a Home device, it still doesn't talk nice to the TV box.

I can access the iPlayer and run video on my iPad just fine (iOS 17.7.8), so I don't think sign-in details are the problem. ( I haven't tried the iPad in Airplay mode).  I think the Apple TV is at fault, and I don't know what to do to confirm/deny that.

I also did a factory re-set on the Plusnet box, to no avail.

More fun....

If I operate the slider control on the Homekit stuff it momentarily switches 'ON' and then goes back to 'No Response', not long enough to actually make a light even flicker. I think I said, all my Homekit stuff is Meross, and they're all saying the same.

I remain mystified....

The saga continues....

One of the suggestions on the net was erase the watchlist. Strangely, that may take up to 24 hours to apply, but it has given me access to iPlayer, just like before.

However, the Homekit app has disappeared now.  Any ideas, anyone? I don't actually recall downloading it, it just seemed to be there.

Btw it's a 64Gb  A1842 on tvOS 18.5
