Regrettably, BE is no longer, having been gobbled by Sky. Who are now going to change the terms of service.

What was great about BE is that it used O2 DSLAMS and pipes (not BT), with unlimited Gb and no traffic shaping, and customer support in Europe, for <£15 cpm.

Can anyone recommend a replacement stand alone (unbundled) service offering similar value and service?

If you can get fibre, I'm having a good experience with EE. I'm getting good speeds (often around 36Mbps down and 5Mbps up). Cost is pretty much what I was paying O2 for standard ADSL.

bloody hell!!

I pay $70 canadian per month and am lucky to get 5.5meg d/l and .65meg u/l speeds.... and this is the 'latest' in microwave highspeed connectivity {google inetlink wimax for more info!}

Ouch. On EE's LTE for my iPad I clocked 18Mbps upload from a cafe in Kings Heath just the other day.

our local starbucks clocks around 10meg u/l and 4 - 5 d/l. mcdonald's around the same.... hopefully will get up to around 20+u/l when we move out to the west coast :)
