MacBook Battery indicator..

Hi Guys,
This may be a daft question...OK call me daft...lol...

I have noticed over the last week that the battery indicator % on my macbook pro never shows 100%, even when it has been off but on charge for 10 hours, when I turn it on it shows 99%.

I have not ever noticed if did show 100% before, but have tried to get it to show that the last few days, just out of curiosity really...

Anyone know if they do ever show 100%.......

I was reading the article about calibrating the battery and this started me on this line of thought, when I decided to make sure the battery was full charged before doing a deep discharge cycle...

I would suggest resetting the SMC (remove power and battery, hold power button for 10secs and reattach battery and power), and doing a full cycle as per Apple's instructions at www.apple.com/batteries

On a side note, mine never seems to get below 10%. It shuts off before that even happens! But then I have done 656 battery cycles and am at 73% health (info provided by iStat Pro)

Hi,

Hope this may help others with the new MacBook, I have posted what they sent me below, the guy did say they have to reset this regular, and also fixes some iPhone charging problems!!! 

SMC reset is now different.... AND the Glasgow Apple store tell me if you remove the battery on the new ones... It voids the waranty!!! Not certain how true that may be however!!

Try the Apple software downloads page (in the Apple Menu > Mac OSX Software).

The mail & chat section is… 

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/email_chat/ I can't see a way to filter just Automator actions. You may find a software solution will give you the ability to template content on the message, eg add Hello 'username'

You can just add the name of an Address Book group to an email to send to all the members. Be aware that some email servers (Hotmail/MSN, AOL, maybe Yahoo etc) will bounce messages with many cc addresses to stop spam circulars (maybe you know this already hence the need for the script).
