At my end FaceTime shows a mirror image.

Will it be the same the same at the other end ?

Is there a way to turn off the mirror imaging ?

Regards. Dave Cooper.

P.S. Experience prompts me to recommend allowing at least a couple of hours to migrate a couple of machines from MobileMe to iCloud.

Dave,
You can't turn off the mirror image. The intention is you can see what you're showing the other person during a call. It's in mirror because Apple figure it's more useful. So something you see on your left, is actually on your left. The other party sees your image as normal. The same applies to using the front facing camera for photos.

not sure mate, but it's the same for facebook's vid char and skype {essentially the same i know}... not sure if the built in cams have a lens, this would explain a lot {especially the need to flip images from photobooth} :)

my bet is there's no lens??? too many lenses???

Is this video being streamed from a Mac or an iOS device?
iGlasses has the ability to edit the video from the iSight before Facetime processes it (Mac only).

If it's iOS, file a bug report/ feature request.

Thank's chaps,

As long as the person sees my image the correct way round that's fine. I have tried selecting the Auto Flip New Items in Photo Booth but that had not made a difference.

All I need now is to convince my daughters (One with new MB Pro the other with new MB Air.) to use FaceTime.

Regards. Dave Cooper.
