Ejacting a CD

inserting a CD tor download a program; it got stuck.
Restart and Mosue did not work. Sutdown and Holding the mouse does
not work. It make some noises no ejection.
CD does nor appear on the screen to drop it in the trash
Any idea how to get it out please

Sorry to state the obvious, but it sounds like it's stuck..

If it's an older Mac then you might see a manual ejection hole next to
the drive slot, or hidden in the corner of the slot itself. You can
push a bent paperclip into that to eject.

If that's not present, you might be looking at a repair job. I've
known Apple fix this under warranty, but I guess if the disk is faulty
then technically it's your fault. Like I say, I've known them repair
the drives and not charge, but your milage may vary.

The disc in question was BT broadband and the machine was laptop Macbook
I will try the Apple shop tomorrow.
I had used the disc on another machine without any problem
This sort of things always happen when you are in the middle of a job.
