My shiny iphone wont sync notes made on it with Mail Notes in Leopard.
It is apparently a known issue at Apple support and the only
workaround is to email notes to yourself from the phone. Has anyone
managed to sync Notes made on the phone.

Other than that everything is shiny..

I don't have a problem with Notes but I do with contacts. For some
reason only a few of my contacts in my address book sync to the iPhone
the rest just seem to be missing.

I have tried everything to get it working but have so far had no
success, I even went as far as to reset my iPhone and still nothing so
I am slightly puzzled :-S

Are the contacts that you do have syncing part of a  "Group"? In iTunes, it doesn't by default put all of your contacts on (I think).

My Notes aren't syncing yet, but I'm still on 1.1.1 until a reliable
sim unlock for 1.1.2 appears. I am pretty sure it's a 1.1.2 feature if
at all?

Sam did you go from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 ?

I'm wondering what to do with my 1.0.2 anySim unlocked phone

Cheers

Yes, I started with 1.0.2.

Basically, you have to get it re-virginised, since the original anySIM
messed up an area of the baseband called the seczone.

This guide seems to know what is going on, I used an earlier technique
myself since I was impatient. This one looks much easier.
http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Downgrade_1.0.2_baseband_OS_X_iPhone

Then you can upgrade to 1.1.1 in iTunes (be sure to get 1.1.1 from
somewhere and select it manually, since clicking "upgrade" will get
you 1.1.2 now) and activate/jailbreak it using the *#307# technique or
whatever it is.

Basically, modmyifone.com is the place with the answers.

Workaround on iphone & Touch is to use the notes section in contacts. They do sync both ways with address book.

For general v person specific notes create a new contact eg aaaaa aaaaa so it's at top of your contacts list.
