Dear fellow toastmasters,

Please take a few good minute to read and consider attending.  It will be a terrific return on your time invested.

Club Presidents,

Please forward this to your members.

I have been a proud member of Toastmasters for the past ten years. Experienced as I may be, I realize there is always more to learn and do. Over the past couple of weeks I have attended all three of the Area Contests which make up Division W. Some of the contestants were old pros while some of the winners were quite new. Both the speech contest and the evaluation contest are an integral part of what we do. Learning to communicate effectively and developing skills in giving positive, supportive feedback are what truly sets us apart from other organizations.

All three Area Contests impressed me. When the first and second place winners from each area square off at the Division contests, it is going to be a "blow your socks off" kind of event. To cover the cost of the rent and refreshments, we have to charge a $5 fee (free for contestants). You can be sure, for the entertainment value alone, it will be the best five dollars you can spend anywhere.

Come and support your Area Champions even if you don't know them. If you can tell me you didn't get your money's worth by the end of the contests, I will gladly give your money back.

It will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, at St. Luke's Church - 10177 148 Street, Surrey. Registration begins at 6:30 PM, contest briefing at 6:45 and the contest will start at 7 PM.

Guests are welcome.

Volunteers for different roles are needed. Please contact me if you can help.
