Admission into Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering (Full Time)(under
Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme, Department of Electronics and Information
Technology, Govt. of India)

The Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY
<http://deity.gov.in/>), MCIT, Govt. of India has granted Ph.D. scholarship
for Karunya University under “Visvesvaraya PhD scheme” for the academic
year 2015-16. Applications are invited from eligible candidates (preferably
with GATE / NET Score) for full time Ph.D. Programme in the field of
Computer Science and Engineering.
Eligibility

- 1. M.E. /M.Tech. in the relevant discipline (CSE /IT) with CGPA > 7.5
- 2. Minimum first class B.E. /B.Tech. degree in CSE/IT discipline from
a reputed Institute with CGPA > 7.5
- 3. *GATE/NET Qualified Candidates are preferable to apply*

in application form with all details and a DD (drawn in favour of
Registrar, Karunya University payable at Coimbatore) for Rs. 600 (For
Indian Nationals) be sent to Admissions Officer, Karunya University,
Coimbatore 641 114, Tamil Nadu, India to reach on or before July 15th 2015.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for an interview before
final selection.

Emoluments:

The selected full time Ph.D. candidates will be entitled for the following:

- Fellowship for full time Ph.D. candidate @ Rs.22,500/- for 1st
and 2nd year
and @ Rs. 25,000/- per month for 3rd, 4th and 5th year.
- Annual contingency grant @ Rs.30,000/- per year per full time Ph.D.
student.
- Reimbursement of rent for full time Ph.D. student as per the scheme.
