Last month I was called upon to make a presentation on the 63rd Anniversary of Meher Baba's New Life.

I went about doing research on this enigmatic phase of Avatar Meher Baba's ministry with zest. I prepared the presentation based on Meher Baba's words, my interviews with Eruch Jessawala, and, from my father, Keki Nalavala's New Life archive (he played a key role during Meher Baba's stay in Dehra Dun).
As I walked through this historical journey as it unfolded, I discovered that there was clearly a shift of consciousness once the New Life was declared, as Meher Baba turned the focus more and more from himself in his aspect of God in human form, to the impersonal aspect of God - God in the Beyond State.
This revelation led me to believe that this shift was through the medium of Prayer. In the New Life, while retaining the role of the Perfect Master, Meher Baba assumed the role of the Perfect Seeker, praying to God for help, praying for forgiveness, praying for victory - and above all praising God every step of the way. In Meher Baba's words, "All prayers ultimately initiate the soul into an ever deepening silence of sweet adoration . . ."

It was during the New Life that Meher Baba gave mankind the Master's Prayer, The Prayer of Repentance and the Beloved God Prayer.
DAILY PRAYER OF GRATITUDE
Since I launched Glow International 46 years ago, Prayers have been milestones on my spiritual journey.
I pray to Beloved Baba each day for giving me the opportunity to share his message of love, truth and spiritual unity through the pages of his journal, Glow International.
And I thank him each day for giving me the opportunity to establish Beloved Archives with the tangible assistance of his universal family.
Each day when I step into the House of the Beloved I thank Meher Baba for his grace and I thank him for letting me share his message of love. And I thank those who have selflessly assisted and continue to support our efforts.
PRAY WITH MEHER BABA
Over the years seekers have written to us, asking us to pray for them. Some of these letters have made us weep; some of them have saddened our hearts, while some of these letters have given us glimpses of the Avatar's grace. All of them have asked us to pray to Beloved Meher Baba for his blessings, his grace - oftentimes, his intervention.
And we have prayed to the Beloved fervently and intensely for those who have sent us letters. A Prayer to the Beloved has become for us an invocation of his blessing. It has helped open doors for those in need and a healing for those whose hearts bleed.
This journey in conscious divinity has been a beautiful lesson to me - a lesson in humility, a lesson in giving and a lesson in sharing.
