Hi all interested Food stall owners,

Welcome to Marathi Mandal Reading's most awaited event of the year.

Many thanks for your interest in holding a stall and we are already looking forward to taste the yummy food made by you all.

Here are some rules and regulations for your reference and acceptance -

1.There are two types of stalls - Commercial and Non-commercial.
Non -commercial stalls are the ones where someone is making the food at home and selling it only on the day of event.

Commercial stalls are those where you sell packaged food or home made food, but give your business cards or any type of advertisement for further contact with you regarding food.

2. The cost of having a commercial stall is £30 and non -commercial stall is £20.Your stall will only be confirmed once the money is transferred to the Mandal's account.

3.MAXIMUM OF 2 ITEMS PER STALL ARE ALLOWED.It is essential that we know the two items you are offering on your stall. If you don't confirm the items while booking the stall, that may be passed to the next interested person. Please make sure that you will only sell the 2 items on the day which you have confirmed. Any last minute changes are not allowed.

4.You will need to arrive 30-40 minutes before the start time to set up your stall.
We will provide you one table and two chairs.

5. Due to health and safety reasons, use of gas /electric cooker is NOT ALLOWED. You can bring your own microwave to reheat the food, in which case, we recommend you to get an extension cord as well.

6.you will serve the food items in appropriate disposable cutlery taking care that the food /drinks will not spill and cause any accidents.

7.You will ensure that the prices for your products are clearly marked. You can keep the prices /deals as you may wish and can make changes in it throughout the event.

8.you will make sure that the food /drink you are offering is served at the right temperature required for that particular item and all the buyers are made aware of any typical ingredient in your item that can cause food allergies e.g. Nuts, seeds etc

9. If required, you may need to share the burden of taking the rubbish back with you for disposing off further.

10.Any cancellation may only be considered if we can get another confirmed stall in your place.

We need you to send us a confirmatory e-mail that you accept these rules ASAP.
Please feel free to contact Snehal Vaishampayan on 07921366903 or Anjali Deshpande on 07809593014 if you have any queries or need any further clarification.

On the day of the event, please report to Raghavendra  and Snehal Vaishampayan or Maya Saswade.

So guys, put your thinking caps on and make sure to make your stall as popular as it can be !!

Kind Regards,
Anjali Deshpande

Hi all,

Regarding Vaishali's queries, I personally think we should consider her stall enquiry and willingness to sponsor the event separately.
Depending on her amount, we will give her the coverage, I.e. distribution of cards and leaflets and or a banner in £25. As she will be there personally I agree with Rajesh that who actually does this, herself or us doesn't matter.
And regarding the stalls as she wants to serve 4 items, we should charge her the price for 2 normal stalls that is £40. This is to be loyal to our rules and fair to other stall holders. And she should know that serving 4 items off just 1 table considering the variety includes both veg. And non veg items can be perceived unhygienic.
I have shared this with Raghavendra and he also agrees to the opinion stated above.

Kind regards,

Snehal

Hi Anjali, Maya, Snehal,
Vaishali wants to sponsor and also would like to have a stall. We need to discuss about this case in detail their queries.
I discussed this with Rajesh and his opinion was:
1. She can take a normal stall
2. Sponsor the event and hence her flyers will be distributed by us or her, it does not matter.
3. Based on her sponsorship level she get defined amount of coverage.
4. Stall team needs to decide how much more to charge for additional items (without the additional desk space)

Please comment so that I can respond to her.

Hi Vaishali,
Thank you for showing interest in keeping a stall at the event.
As Preeti has already discussed with you, you are allowed 2 food items at your stall. You have shown interest to have Vada pav as one of them, and if you wish to consider one of the following to go with that, it will be great!
Bhel puri or pani puri
Idli sambar chutney
Aloo paratha
Veg. Biryani
Any Indian sweets like gulab jamun, gajar halwa, ladoo

Please do not take too much pressure, these are just suggestions, the choice is yours!!!

Do have a look at our rules and general information and email us your acceptance of the same confirming your 2 items as soon as possible.
Will be then sending you the invoice to be paid for final confirmation of your booking.

Kind regards,

Snehal
