Hi friends,
Our GET TOGETHER[ORMAYKKAYI2010] happened yesterday.In the morning we
gathered at our School @ 7AM for the Cricket Match.Special txs to our
Lady batchmates & their families who came to cheer our Cricket
match.We selected the teams from our members & their children.Ist team
headed by me & 2nd one headed by Saju.We played using Cricket bats[not
ola madal] & tennis ball in style.toss was won by Saju & the match
also by his team.
They elected to bat & took 86 runs in 15 overs.But our team could not
make it.But it was a very memorable event.We started off the day with
tea & uzhunnu vada.Then we had drinks[PEPSI,MIRINDA,7UP,Mineral Water]
in between & through out the session.After the match we had breakfast
from the School Verandah[Idli,Sambar,Chutney,Rasavada,Tea]In between
Anadasankar Sir came to see the match.After the match we gathered in a
class room[Ground floor of the main building,extreme left]Anandasankar
talked abt his attachment to the school & thanked everyone for
conducting such a wonderful,memorable function.Then all the members
present there gave a self intro abt them & their family members.Some
of the members present cracked some good jokes in the class..It was a
superb hit..
Then we gathered @ the Symphony Hall,Mascot Hotel @ 3:30 pm for the
Get together.All the members with their families,Teachers reached on
time for the function..And the function started @ 4pm.Deepa compered
the function[The master of ceremonies] beautifully.Since she is a
malayalam teacher she handpicked some beautiful malayalam words so
that the compering part was a sucess.The function started with a
prayer by Jayachandran.Teachers were welcomed one after another by
kids by presenting them a rose & seated right side near the dias.
After that the School bell rang & all the batch mates got seated on
the benches & desks arranged in front of the dias.Ananda sanker sir
took charge as Class Teacher & took attendance.Those who came late for
the function were asked to stand out side the virtual class room...It
was truely a grt nostalgic feeling.Then we had the GURU POOJA.All the
teachers were presented a PONNADA,NADARAJA IDOL,& a GOLD COIN as token
of our love & gratitude.Then Jayachandran was gifted a SILVER NILA
VILAKKU as an appreciation for his achievements & recognitions in the
Malayalam music industry.It was presented by Sudha who was the rank
holder of our batch.He was not informed about this earlier,so it was a
surprise gift for himThen we had a PHOTO SESSION with & without our
Teachers..Later all the teachers shared their memories about our
school & our batch.Then Jayachandran conducted a quiz programme based
on malayalam film songs for a couple of minutes.then we had some
songs& cinematic dance sung & danced by the children.Then there was
a music programme by sudheep,alex & rajalakshmi.They chose to sing
some old songs.Then it was dinner time....

Alltogether it was a grand function which will be in our minds through
out our life

I take this oppurtunity to thank all the members who took part in this
event.I also thank all the members who could not be with us
physically,but were with us for the function..A special thanks to be
mentioned to all spouses of our members who supported us by attending
the function & making it a grt sucess.
Another special thanks to the spouse & daughter of Preethi who
attended the Get together starting from the Cricket match & the
evening Get Together.

Also special thanks for all the members & their families who came from
different parts of Kerala,different States of India & Gulf region...

THANKS ALL FOR MAKING THIS FUNCTION A GREAT SUCESS...

THOSE WHO CANNOT BE WITH US FOR THE FUNCTION DO NOT GET PANIC.. WE ARE
HERE TO MEET YOU ALL WHEN YOU COME FOR UR VACATION

First of all ,let me congratulate each one of you who involved in organizing this event  with their  great  efforts and made it  successful and a  very memorable one.Even though I could n't attend this,I got the feel of  what had happened there and  at the same time felt  pain at the bottom of my heart in missing this opportunity of being once again with my dear  teachers and friends .

Awesome guys! Manjith, Biju, Hareesh, and everyone else who took the initiative, and made this happen.. Congratulations.. It's really remarkable that everything went as planned, and I am really thrilled to read Manjith's detailed account of the day. While we have had the fun and excitement of connecting with our buddies and got to celebrate our successes, the display of appreciation for our teachers reaffirms the cultural values we have assimilated growing up, and makes this an excellent experience to share with our kids. And really glad we felicitated Jayachandran..who in spite of all the success and heaps of accomplishments he has had in the music world, remains the simple down to earth guy we all knew from our school days:) another classic example of dedication and hardwork backed by talent..resulting in accomplishments in life(success being one of the byproducts:)..a great story to share with our kids.. And add to that the stories of everyone else from our batch.. We have excellent material to put together a best-seller in inspirational writing! We all have big reasons to be proud of our entire batch on this 25th anniversary!!

Wish I was there too, but soo glad it was a big success and we are all now back in touch!

Will look forward to see the pictures, and will absolutely connect with everyone on my next trip to Trivandrum as well. Let's stay in touch folks..

All my dear friends of MMRHS 1986 batch..     let me take all of your consent to elaborate my feelings towards the event on 03.04.2011 at Mascot Hotel trivandrum.......  I let my memories flown back to a quarter century or more....  I heard a song......."KODIYA VENAL KAALAM...KULANGAL VATTIYA KAALAM....KUTHICHU CHAADI RANDU THAVALAKAL KINATTIN ARIKIL VANNU"....  * our dear little biju had sung it melodiously before us in a wednesday evening...a period earmarked to  hone skills of  blooming  personalities....  a lot more as follows...... @ a furious flood in late seventies.... @ foot ball matched played with great spirit and enthusiasm... @ youth festivals that witnessed a rising star - Jayachandran... @ School anniversaries revealing acting talents such as Manjith, Santhosh, Rajesh Kaimal...etc.. @ tussle between friends (me and ajith BC), myself being a fan of Mammooty and he being a fan of lalettan. @ mimics of Rama subramany.. @ calmness of Ramanathan. @ spontaneous reactions of Sreejith..... @ Not to forget Sumeeth from wayanad for his abusive reactions...(sorry sumith just recollecting, excuse me..) @ Harikrishnan's actions.....that gave him a nick name.....( i wont say u people guess) @ Unnikrishnan's Cycle that neither had a stand nor had mud guards....  etc etc etc......... @ the nervous first day of SSLC examination.... @ the relaxed last day of SSLC examination.... @ Sudha  scored 570 marks listed 13th in the rank list made our school proud... much more more...... after a quarter century..... just 3 months ago...in a friendly meeting,...Jayan, biju, madhavan & harish sowed the seed of idea to have a get together.....created history.......  later i was fortunate to be a part of the decision making contributed with my earnest efforts.... three or four rounds of meetings.....discussions...ideas....which have been planned and implemented immaculately in a perfect way....... the cricket match.....the class room section in the morning of 3.04.2011..altogether made the event eternal...... the guru pooja the highlight of the programme went at par with the planning.....the timings...the participation of our class mates in presenting memento......gifts etc .the spouses with very valuable  suggestions for the next get together...!!!! really great and gave the feeling of success....... we miss u all those who cud not be a part of this mega event......we repent for those who had not attended the programme even they were physically present in trivandrum... i should specially mention the name of our A.anilkumar who came all d way from dubai just to attend the function....dear anilkumar...people like u really merits appreciation..... and all those came from neighbouring states...Ramanathan, ramasubramony...ragesh....chitra...etc etc....and from all parts of our state......... @ the good singing of ragesh's daughter.. @ the rocking performance of Biju's daughter..... @ needless to mention the presentation made by our jayan.. @ I personally thanks ajith for his execellent creation of back drop ormakkayi..2011..the colour combination is beyond imagination of a common man.....dear ajith....ur pursuit in the field so far doenot match to ur talents.....all the wishes.... much more.............i am mad..........i feel proud myself for the reason that i was one among u in MMRHS 1986..batch... to conclude... @ BIJU-- the MARVELLOUS PERSON.with relenless efforts kept everybody live with his messages and mails..... @ MADHAVAN..."KARANAVAR" -- accomplished the tasks with surgeon's precision....i really admire his capabalities of arranging things.....in a splendid way... @MANJITH-"THE SPIDER MAN"- spreads the web which caught the attention of our dear class mates over the globe... @HARISH- he used his resources  to the maximum to get in touch with most of our friends... @H.VINOD- THE REAL PROFESSIONAL- the anticipated budgetary provision matched well with the funds inflows and out flows...... @ the ideas given by others.....when mixed in right proportions...the event had gone better manifold and many a miles.......... i invite all my friends to give healthy suggestions for the future endeavours....... luv and regards, padmakumar.v.n. --- On Mon, 4/4/11, Mini Ravi <min...@gmail.com> wrote:

Padmakumar : You supplemented Manjith’s note very well similar to a “slide show in Power point presentation”.  

 

I really enjoyed the whole event – both in school and hotel. Infact the class where we sat was our III A (in 1978-1979) ,V C (in 1980-1981) and VIII C(in 1983-1984),  adjacent to earlier play ground and near boys’ hand wash area.  ( One tap for the whole building then !!!!) Now the situation has improved to 9 taps...

This is another Hariharan from Delhi.. Great to see photos... some faces are still the same... you people are all blessed... and me too by just present there without being there... great occasion.. I don't think anybody in the next generation will (instant coffee types) even think of taking such a humongous effort... I can only say, there is only one CHEMEEN, one SHOLAY, one MACKANNA'S GOLD and ONE REUNION - MMRHS 1986.. Well Done.... God Bless everybody..
