Here's a proposed plan re: plant visit at Nissin Monde in Laguna:

Date:  16 October 2010

Schedule:

07:30 AM   Call time/meet up at Shell Select in Makati (EDSA cor. McKinley)
08:00 AM   ETD (Makati to Laguna)
09:30 AM   ETA (Laguna)
10:00 AM   Plant Visit (securing details from Jeff)
12:00 NN    Lunch (with Monde Nissin representatives, socials)
01:30 PM   Pocket interview with representatives (over coffee)
03:00 PM   Class meeting / collation of inputs
05:00 PM   Tagaytay sidetrip
06:30 PM   Dinner
08:00 PM   Gimik (if you want) / ETD (Laguna to Makati)

Inputs needed from the team are the ff:

1. Car (and driver) sponsors (who wants to volunteer, please? chip in na lang for gas and toll expenses. or if you want per team?)
2. Suggested places for lunch, pocket interview, sidetrip, dinner, and gimik) I am not familiar with the place (near the plant site)
3. Team leads for each focus areas
a. Supply Chain – team SOLUTIONS PROVIDER
b. Operations Planning – team HAY
c. Quality – team SMILEY
4. Points to ponder (per Arian's notes)

• How do you do this thing?
• Any quality policies?
• Supply chain objectives?
• How are you organized?
• Flow of information of materials?
• Scope of functions?
• KPIs?

5. Documentation:
- Letter of invite: (Jeff, please send us the contact persons so we could write them a formal communication and for documentation)
- Monde Nissin reps: (Jeff, who are the people we will meet? Kindly provide us the details. Thanks : ))
- Camera (Mark, ill bring ironman / Yash, you may want to bring your SLR)
- Video (who has a handy camera?)

Since this is a food plant, I'm not sure if they'd let us wear those plastic boots, so just in case I suggest we bring/wear SOCKS.  Especially for girls also, accessories may have to be removed while touring the plant, so you may also want to lessen those kikay stuff to avoid hassle of safekeeping. By some stroke of luck, I might be able to join the "victorious" team this Saturday.

My teaching partner this Saturday in Genpact Alabang Prof Teodoro will be handing two sessions of her course (taking my slot in the process). The following Saturday, I will take two sessions and her course slot.

However, because I stay in the Bf Las Pinas Area, it might be practical for me to go directly or wait for you to pass through either the Shell, Petron or even the Caltex stations along the expressway. I usually take the Festival entrance to the expressway although Sucat is also possible.

For those staying in the south, we can wait for the Makati group to pass by. They can text us when they are coming and we can have the map/directions as a backup just in case.

As for the letter in question, I can sign this on Friday since I have an opeman class or even on the day of the visit this Saturday.

As to the car pool, I would appreciate riding with the group. These days, I don't anymore enjoy long drives particularly when there is traffic. However, this will depend on the plans... I can join the group for lunch and some side trip but not if this extends to dinner(could bring car if everyone stays till dinner). Perhaps the most feasible group based on exchange of emails is the group in Sucat (Santana Groove Shopwise) assuming they still have space and going back not so late.

Jeff, I had a Regis student in your company in Sta Rosa some years ago for my SCM class. I think he was in the logistics function. His name is Alex Anselmo. He might want to do a favor to his alma matter by helping the class when you ask about SCM. I can still remember him.

I don't know your protocol Jeff in terms of arranging for the plant visit. But fortunately, we are a small group and easier to accommodate compared to a class of 30! Even if the plant manager is not available, his designated managers/supervisors might do.

If you move the visit next week, I have to beg off because I will have the session then in the Alabang BPO company.

Guys/Sir, I will try my best to fix my sched.  I've cancelled and made appointments na kasi for the coming Saturdays as soon as I got Mark's email last Tuesday, I thought the sched was confirmed already.

Judith, if I can make it next Saturday, I'll join the Sucat/Pque group with Mike, Alvin, Eric.  (Also with Sir in case we can push thru this Saturday by some stroke of luck.)  Hence, there would be 8 of you meeting up in Shell Makati.  Info might help in planning for your group's vehicle/driver needs.

Hi arian, My apologies, sobrang dami daw talaga nag plant tour this season kasi patapos ang semester. They managed to squeeze us in lang next sat 9:30 (strictly day).
