"Big Two-Hearted River" is the story of a young soldier, Nick Adams,
who's returned from World War I shell-shocked. How is his trip a form
of therapy for him? What do you notice about Hemingway's writing
style, about the details that he presents?

I really enjoyed reading this short story. I'm a man myself who loves
to fish. I have a big connection with this man because I also use
fishing as a type of therapy that allows me to chill out and just
relax. I know its hard coming back from war and not having anything
left, because of a fire that took it all. That would be the last thing
i would want to have after war which is nothing all .

It seems that Hemingway is like alot of people in the world in the
fact that the outdoors is a relaxing and soothing thing that helps
cool and relax them. I am that type of person too. It seems that the
character wants to go fishing because he loves to be outdoors and also
loves to fish adn relax.

obviously hemingway was a man who had experience war himself and
writing stories such as these just makes the reader relate what he
feels and what he went thru to live thru the time being while he was
in war and after the way. Fishing i guess can be a prime example how
he got this thoughts away from the war. antying else but fishing is
his on remedy or you can say therapy to helping him not stress about
it. and of course when you're out fishing in the outdoors its very
quiet and peaceful so i guess that helped him out to get himself to
relax.

this man clearly especially hemmingway loves to fish. hemmingway a man
from war of course would love some quiet and stay away from the war
and its good he uses fishing to help relieve himself from that. the
story uses fishing because fishing is in the outdoors where it is
quiet and peaceful and i think hemmingway used this to help the man
think away from the war.
