For anyone interested in project work undertaken across the wider research/government sector funded by ANDS - looking at the use of controlled vocabularies and common metadata schemas - take a glance at these.

 

These presentations were quite eye opening - where science has massive datasets that are mostly homogenous there is a noticeable difference in the cultural/historical datasets that are smaller but more complex (in their schemas).
