Hi all,

I just wanted to ask whether other institutions were following set
internal standards for writing CLD content, or whether there was a
wider MME Project standard for the content?

ie for the 'Description (full or significance)' field we are following
Significance 2.0 (previously Significance, 2001). This is standard we
use to write any collection level or object level significance
statement. Are other institutions using the field in this way or are
you producing more descriptive text?

Basically I have only recently come on board for this project and just
wondered whether there were any project standards I was unaware of?

cheers,

Good question Kristy... Tim asked about the schema the other day too.

Lynne's been working with Robina and Heather at ANDS to refine the
schema for MME based on RIF-CS to publish a technical document. There
is a 'light' example of it on the project site here:
http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/museumexchange/index.php/collection-desc
ription-guidelines/writing-collection-descriptions

There was useful debate last week about this via the MMEsitecoord Google
group and we're building this into our workings (and what we put up
online).

So more feedback and questions welcomed.

Thanks, Ingrid
