Dear MCX registered users,
I just want to let you know that our workshop still have limited
seats left. If you are interested in joining our in-person
training workshop in Boston between June 29-30 (or June 29-July 4
with both MCX and NeuroJSON workshops), please register asap using
the below link
https://mcx.space/register/workshop/2024A
For those of you who can not join this in-person event, I would like to let you know that we will TRY broadcasting our training workshops via zoom during the event. Because this is our first time streaming our training workshop, I can not guarantee that this will be a smooth experience, but we will at least try to make it work (worst case, record the sessions and share afterwards). Because our resource and bandwidth is limited, unfortunately we will not be able to do real-time interactions with the online participants, but you can post questions in the chat and we will have a few Q&A sessions to go over questions from online or in-person participants.
If you are interested in following our workshop via online
streaming, please use the below link to register as a remote
participant, so we can at least known how much network bandwidth
we should anticipate

We have posted a tentative MCX workshop agenda in the below link, as well as laptop preparation guide

I want to mention that as of today, we have already received a
good number of travel grant applications, so if you plan to attend
our in-person event only dependent on the travel award, I strongly
encourage you to register for the remote option. We will review
the received applications later of this week and inform the
applicants the decisions.
In addition, I would like to make some quick clarifications for
our workshops
1. registration is free for both MCX and NeuroJSON training workshop, either in person or remote (thanks to our NIH R01 funding support)
2. simple breakfast and bagged lunch are provided during the workshop days
3. without travel award, in-person participants are expected to
cover their own travel and lodging expenses. Low-cost housing
options are available through the on-campus Conference Housing
program, see
https://eecp.sites.northeastern.edu/conferencehousing/ on the
available room styles and costs ($69-$94/night)
4. if you drive a car to attend this workshop, we can provide you
with a parking voucher for each day.
If you have any questions regarding our in-person or remote participation options, please let me know.
I look forward to seeing you at our workshops!

hi everyone,
I am sorry to let you know that we have to push the dates of our previously announced MCX/NeuroJSON training workshop dates by roughly 1 week to avoid conflict with a major conference.
The new dates are June 29-30 for MCX Training Workshop, and July 1-2 for NeuroJSON workshop/hackathon.
I have separately emailed those who had already registered and asked them to update their registration. We are sorry for this unexpected change and all the inconvenience it may cause.
If you are attending this workshop at the updated dates, please use the same link below to browse the updated registration form:
https://mcx.space/register/workshop/2024A
hopefully you are still available for the update dates.
again, we are sorry for this change. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dear colleagues,
It is my pleasure to announce the MCX/NeuroJSON 2024 training workshop travel award recipients.
We have received a good number of strong applications. Unfortunately we have only limited travel award available, so it has been a difficult task to make the choices. We want to congratulate the following students:
- Ernesto Pini, University of Florence, Italy
- Laura Quintana Quinana, Institute for Applied
Microelectronics, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
- Daniela Leizaola, Florida International University, US
- Otavio Perez Palamoni, IFSC - Institute of Physics of
São Carlos, Brasil
- Navid Ibtehaj Nizam, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,
US
In addition, I also want to let you know that we have just closed the in-person registration to facilitate the preparation of the upcoming workshops. If any of you still want to join us in person, please email me to see availability. I will leave the remote-only workshop registration link (https://mcx.space/register/workshop/2024A-Remote) open until the midnight of June 15 (EDT).
For those registered in-person, we will follow up shortly to
finalize the details of the logistics during your stay.
Combining both in-person and remote registrants, we have received a record number of participants for all the workshops we have organized in the past! we have a lot to prepare and look forward to greeting all participants in a few weeks!
