1)We divided up pages in the guide to be completed by Monday. The major parts to be finished this week are:
- Calendar (Adam)
- Student Group Directory (Adam, James, Len, Christian):
- REMEMBER TO DO 4 PER PAGE (which is a half sheet of an 8x11 page)
- Len is doing all the Cultural Groups
- James is doing Advocacy's: ACLU, Amnesty International, A Woman's Worth, UMD Students for Clean Energy, College Park Environmental Group, Community Roots, Critical Mass, and Fair Trade.
- Adam is doing Advocacy's: Feminism without Borders, MaryPIRG, Maryland Media Collective, Peace Forum, Pride Alliance, Students and Workers United, Student Global AIDS Campaign, and Students for Sensible Drug Policy/NORML
- Christian is doing Advocacy's: Student Summit, TerPoets, Tunnel of Oppression, Union of Progressive Zionists
- Beyond Student Groups Directory
- Christian and James will do it
- Submit any to them
- Can be University-oriented to the general DC metro area
- Independent Media Guide
- Diego is doing it
- Send contacts to him...remember "independent media" :)
2)There are some remaining sections: the logo, statement of purpose, table of contents, future section, ways to get involved section, MMC info, and credits and thanks. We can do this on Monday evening we decided.
3)And about publishing, today I recieved an APPROVAL from the SGA about our $500 line-item transfer. This means we have $500 for printing and copying. The guides came out to about $1 (maybe less) per copy, so we roughly have 500 guides for the First Look Fair and the rest of the semester. Thats actually a good segue into the next agenda item...
