The water and humanitarian crisis in Iraq following the U.S. invasion and war. These past years have seen a decrease in Iraqi's access to drinkable water and increasing poverty among the Iraqi people, in particular internal refugees, children and infants.
Recent reports indicate that the famous Tigres and Euphrates rivers have become exploited and damaged to such an extent, that now 70% of Bahgdad's population have no access to drinking water. An estimated 11 million people in Iraq (43% of the population) live in poverty, threatened by starvation if conditions do not improve.

As a radio show on college radio, it attempts to present social injustices and problems as well as what people are doing in response to that on a grassroots level. It serves as an outlet for diverse issues, opinions, and grassroots organization; ultimately aiming to increase awareness, inspire activism, and mobilize the global community.
