Peace! We know this is a very exciting, emotional, and trying time for everyone acting against racism, involved in their forms of activism. We wanted to first send out a salute in solidarity with you, and secondly encourage you to listen in AND call in to That Fresh Radio Piece tommorow, Wednesday 6-8PM. Live on
wmucradio.com
We'll be having (1) Kyle Carson, co-president of Community Roots come on to talk about the noose outside the Nyumburu Cultural Center, the Jena 6, and current actions going on in condemnation of racism.
(2) Benjamin Ramos, of the Popular Education Project to Free the Cuban 5, speaking about the current political prisoner case that refutes the alleged U.S. war on terror and consequently, the last 6 years of U.S. foreign policy.
(3) Mario Penalver, who has walked from Chicago to Washington DC with March of People, mobilizing grassroots support for U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and the impeachment of president Bush.
We encourage you to call in (301-314-8800) and tell us your'e thoughts, ideas, and actions in relation to the Nyumburu hate crime and this past week's mobilizations against racism. The time and space for this is the Community Call-in, which will be going on at 6:45 approximately.
