Beyond the Classroom kicks off its Critical Conversations on Civic Issues:
Faculty & Film Series with Norman Solomon's new film, "War Made Easy," which
critically examines how U.S. government officials and the media shapes and
builds public support for war and seeks to silence public resistance. Drawing on
footage from Vietnam to the Gulf and present-day Iraq wars, the film shows the
striking parallels among each case about the official reasons for going to war
and why we cannot bring the troops home and end the war.
ALL ARE WELCOME: This series is also offered for 1 credit as UNIV 399V:
Experiential Learning: "Research on Voting as If the Issues Mattered."
