Meeting Wrap-up 9/14/2007

For the record, I've included the minutes of the organizational meeting
from Friday, in case anyone forgot what was discussed. Remember, we
will be having a meeting after school on Tuesday. Weekly meetings will
he held Thursday at lunch. Until we have an established meeting room,
look for us in the math hallway (rooms 200-203).
Also, Michael Giuffrida has put together a forum for club discussions,
information, and anything else. Be sure to visit and sign up:

throw out ideas for names for the club and what you'd like to do here.

Goals of the Math Club:
• Develop school-wide interest in mathematics
• Bring guest speakers
• Prepare for competitions like VML and AMC (especially with Palmer’s
help)
• Math questions of the day (similar to those outside Mrs. Chappell’s
office)
Topics Covered:
• Meetings weekly at lunch and every other week after school
o Thursdays at lunch
o Tuesdays after school beginning next week
• Bylaws and founding discussion
o Recognition of founders
o Bylaws draft has been prepared
o Description of four officers proposed: Co-Presidents,
Secretary/Treasurer, Historian, Activities Director
