Next meeting: 25th November

Hi everyone,

The next meeting is 2 weeks from today.  I reset the attendance list
shortly after the last meeting and have just updated
https://mlug-au.org.  Here's the URL for the online meeting anyway:

We have yet to schedule any talks: does anyone have something they'd
like to share?

Do put your name on the attendance list (on the website) if you'd like
to have an in-person meeting again this month. We only need 4 names,
mine's there already,

Next meeting is now 1 week from today.

We have a talk now! Rob Norris, our newest member (but a Linux veteran)

will be talking about what's new in the openZFS file system (he's a ZFS dev).

BUT, only if we have an in-person meeting.

So if you're intending to come, please add your name to the attendance list.

If you see you're the 4th person now on the list,

please shoot me an email so I know to book the venue.

Hi Everyone,

I have managed to book the Snug for next Monday's meeting -

the dining function room was already reserved by another group.

For those who haven't been in the Snug before: it's a small(ish) room out the back

with an HDMI screen and seating capacity of about 10.

It's a bit noisier than the dining function room owing to having an widow

overlooking the outdoor tables (just so you know).

G'day All,

I have been moving premises for the last couple of weeks and moved the last large load this afternoon. This has left me tired and very sore, and unfortunately unable to make tonight's meeting. 

If I am able, I will login remotely, but it's not looking good at the moment. 

I am sorry for the last minute drop out, but I was hoping until the last to be able to make it. 

If I don't catch up with you later, have great festive season and a happy new year. 

I'll see you in 2025.
