rclone works for google drive but not photos

Good morning

When I:
:~ $> rclone mount keithDrive: /mnt/google/drive/ &
[2] 21970
and I can browse the files and directories:

:~ $> ls /mnt/google/drive/
'3a Formation of neutron stars.pdf'
PersonalDictionar4jan23y.zip
'3a Formation of neutron stars.pptx' phoneLogs
'3c Detection of neutron stars.pdf'
Rainfall2023.ods
'3c Detection of neutron stars.pptx'


When I

rclone mount photos: /mnt/google/photos/

I get:

2024/03/02 10:49:37 NOTICE: Google Photos path "": --vfs-cache-mode
writes or full is recommended for this remote as it can't stream

Browsing the directories:

:~ $> ls /mnt/google/photos/
album feature media shared-album upload
:~ $> ls /mnt/google/photos/album/
2024/03/02 11:14:13 ERROR : IO error: couldn't list albums: Get
"https://photoslibrary.googleapis.com/v1/albums?pageSize=50": couldn't
fetch token - maybe it has expired? - refresh with "rclone config
reconnect photos:": oauth2: cannot fetch token: 401 Unauthorized
Response: {
"error": "invalid_client",
"error_description": "Client missing a project id."
}
ls: reading directory '/mnt/google/photos/album/': Input/output error

The same message is given with any of the following:
/mnt/google/photos/feature/favorites/
/mnt/google/photos/media/all
/mnt/google/photos/shared-album/

$> ls /mnt/google/photos/upload/

gets NO output


df -h shows:
photos: fuse.rclone 1.0P 0 1.0P 0% /mnt/google/photos
keithDrive: fuse.rclone 100G 49G 52G 49% /mnt/google/drive

((The partiton sizes for photos are intriguing}}


Clearly I am connecting to both drives. But I can't find any idea what
the error message is on search engines

Any ideas please?

rclone was install from debian stable repo using apt install; and
checking just now gives me:
rclone is already the newest version (1.60.1+dfsg-2+b5).

uname:
:~ $> uname -a
Linux lenv0 6.6.12-1-liquorix-amd64 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT liquorix
6.6-16~mx23ahs (2024-01-18) x86_64 GNU/Linux

My upgrade this morning install only a new version of brave browser(daily)
