Hi everyone,

I reset the attendance list a few days ago and have just now updated
https://mlug-au.org.

Our next meeting would ordinarily be on 26th January 2026 (since we skip
December) but Clinton has told me he can't make the 26th because of
Everything Open (see website). Others may be similarly affected.
Clinton, would you come on the 19th? Please email the list or just me.
Everyone else, please email any preference you have.

As before, the URL for the online meeting is:
https://meet.jit.si/mlug-au

We have 1 talk scheduled, so there is room for one more if anyone else
has something they'd like to share.

Do put your name on the attendance list (on the website) if you'd like
to have an in-person meeting again next month. We only need 4 names,
mine's there already,

Cheers ... Duncan.

P.S. Clinton, please advise whether you got my email that I've got your
phone charger from last meeting.

G'day Duncan,

I'm happy with either date. I've added my name to the attendance list

Hi Everyone,

There being 4 names on the list, I booked the GNH dining room for 6, on
the 19th of January. As well as the 26th following Everything Open, it
is also Australia Day which might have caused problems.

Since I booked for 6, will anyone else intending to come please put
their name on the attendance list (for my peace of mind).

So far we have one talk (from me) about accessing physical disks from a
libvirt / qemu VM.

Cheers ... Duncan.

Dunc your rushed shorthand may have confused ppl.
You've book it for 6ppl not 6pm for the 19th Jan and not the following week due to conflict with Australia Day.
Anyone who wears a patriotic tee on the 19th will still get a free beer from Duncan.
Please confirm this is correct, minus the beer, that was kind of a slap in the face for comedy purposes.

Hi Pool,

I booked for 6 ppl at 6pm (that's when pre-meeting starts).

Yes, we are meeting a week early due to conflict with Australia Day.

Cheers ... Duncan.

Duncan - I am intending to come on the 19th, however I think Danny's attendance thingy may have broken, because it's not loading for me (I am aware it's already booked)

Regards,
Malcolm

Sorry. My suspicion is that it was (more likely) an issue with my
server's certs, or (less likely) an issue with the backend server's
connectivity.

(If only there was a well established method to automatically reload a
daemon every `n` days...)

Having restarted *all* the affected services, it looks to be behaving
again, but do contact me if things still look dodgy, or do so in the
future, and I'll track things down.

Cheers,
Danny Robson.
