Dear Teachers

WEP Australia is a not-for-profit student exchange organisation, registered with the QLD Education Department.

I’m pleased to introduce two programs that may be of interest to your students, as they provide incredible cultural and linguistic immersion opportunities in South Korea:

LANGUAGE STUDY PROGRAM - SEOUL

Boost your language skills while discovering one of the most fascinating capital cities in Asia!

Students aged 13-17 can participate in our Junior program, running in July 2025, from 2 to 6 weeks (student’s choice). Accommodation is provided through Korean host families providing food and board, while each day is jam-packed with Korean language classes, outings and cultural activities.

Language study programs are also available to individuals aged 18 and over, under a different formula and with different course/accommodation options. Please visit our website or email WEP for more information: in...@wep.org.au

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Live the life of a Korean teenager, studying at a local high school for a short term (under 90 days) or a semester (approximately 5 months). Students aged 15-18 who have studied Korean for at least one year are eligible to apply. They will live with a local host family, who will treat them as one of their own, and gain insight into the country’s culture and customs, discovering a different lifestyle and building friendships along the way.

Students will improve their Korean language skills as a result of family life and social integration, however the focus of an exchange program (as opposed to a language study program) is cultural exchange.

Students (and teachers!) are encouraged to attend our next Student Exchange WEPTalk on 30 April to find out more: https://wep.org.au/information-sessions. We also have a dedicated Education Advisor who will gladly organise a 1-on-1 meeting with any interested students and their families.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions. Have a great rest of the holidays!

Kind regards

Ilaria
