Hello, everyone.

We continue in our commitment to keep this school open and keep Sudbury education alive in Connecticut. It’s been a struggle, but we have persevered. Our original budget predicted we’d run out of money in mid-October, yet here we are, solvent in mid-January. We like to think it’s the Sudbury spirit. When something is important, you find a way.

In that vein, we are approaching you all again to help solve our latest hurdle. At the end of the month, we predict that we will be $470 short to fulfill our obligations to our landlords, our staff, and the IRS. If anyone can offer that money outright, that would be ideal. But we also recognize that people have financial concerns of their own, so know that any small amount would help get us closer to the goal.

We have an info session on February 4 where we already have RSVPs and we have more families who have expressed interest in joining, as well. Your contribution helps us stay in the black while we pursue new students and keep tuition affordable. We all support the freedom of the Sudbury model and want to make sure it’s still around for years to come.

You can send a donation via our website (www.mountainlaurelsudbury.org) or you can send a check to Mountain Laurel Sudbury School, 147 West Main Street, New Britain, CT 06052.

Thank you all again for your continued support.
