Normally, we have our Annual Appeal in March. However, due to an
expected budgetary shortfall for the month of January, we decided to
send it sooner. Our Treasurer informs us that we will need 400-600 more
dollars to last through the month. We have the Zumba fundraiser on the
22nd and we have an interested family visiting tomorrow, plus we are
expecting $500 in a few months from Google's employee matching program,
but these are not guarantees that we will have money in hand when
financial obligations are due. As such, we are reaching out to our
community. We know times are tight. But if there is any money you can
spare, it would be most useful right now. Even $5 would help. (Of
course, if anyone wants to write a check for $600, we won't say no to
that, either.) Also, if we could receive any donations by January 25,
that will help us determine if the situation is resolved and if we need
to do anything else.
